Şırnak University İdil
Vocational School continues its education and training activities in İdil
district of Şırnak province.
About İdil District:
It is adjacent to Cizre
to the east, Nusaybin and Midyat districts of Mardin to the west, Dargeçit and
Güçlükonak districts to the north and Syria to the south. It has a 24 km long
border with Syria. Since the E-24 highway, which is considered the branch of
the Silk Road to Iraq and Syria, passes through İdil district, alternatives in
transportation are increasing. The fact that Mardin is adjacent to Midyat and
Nusaybin districts creates a separate advantage in terms of transportation.
Transportation to the district from the airport in Mardin can be provided more
easily via the highways on Midyat and Nusaybin. Şerafettin Elçi Airport, which
was opened between İdil and Cizre districts of Şırnak province in 2013,
provides transportation with connecting flights to Istanbul every day of the
week and (except Saturday) to Ankara every day of the week. The distance from
the airport to the İdil district center is 15 km and to the Şırnak center is 60
km.
Distances
from the İdil district to the surrounding cities and districts:
It is 75 km from the
Şırnak center, 29 km from Cizre, 60 km from Silopi, 121 km from Uludere, 70 km
from Güçlükonak, 172 km from Beytüşşebap. It is 126 km from the Mardin center,
where the most intensive transportation is provided, 59 km from Midyat, and 74
km from Nusaybin. There are three highways that we recommend for
transportation: Cizre-İdil, Nusaybin-Idil, Mardin-Midyat-İdil highway routes
can be used for transportation.
